body armor laws?

    does anybody know the laws in Colorado regarding the possession of body armor?

    i hear its legal to own but I can't find anybody that will sell me what I want.

    nice... I've found a few websites that sell em but I don't have a military or LE id.... so I need to find a friend I guess

    I dont live in colorado so i dont know, but if its like oklahoma, it is legal to own body armor UNLESS you commit a felony while wearing it.

    that's how it is here I found out

    pretty much the same rules for owning a firearm but there is no background check to purchase it

    just picked this vest up today.... damn this thing weighs a ton ;)


    anybody know where to find the cheapest price highest quality molle gear at?

    got it from a former marine friend of mine and yeah it is a level 3 vest with level 4 plates and I got another vest with just the soft armor... got em both for 500 bucks and a old 10/22 that I never shot

    Not a bad price. You checked the plates etc out really well I assume.

    A Marine sold that to you? Army needs to keep up with their stuff better. On a side note, I don't think you'll have any problem owning military issue (i don't know though, personally I'd take the pics down and claim ignorance), but SOMEONE got into trouble over that. Losing gear can carry legal and financial penalties.

    Someone probably had to pay for it. Sometimes paperwork gets messed up though and its easier to "lose" the gear. It happens. You're fine having it ,its not your responsibility and you may have been doing someone a favor. They are available as surplus. Don't worry about it.

    when the time comes that I actually use it there won't be any worries about charges filed cause there likely won't be a police force to charge.... or protect me and my family
