Ok I need a BOB rifle and was wondering I there is a .223 lever action and/or what would be a good gun for a BOB that shoots inexpensive ammo

There's no such thing as a .223 lever action rifle, because the .223 cartridge is not rimmed and the bullet is a pointed projectile.

    Umm...

    BLR Lightweight `81, 223 Rem., Item 034006108, UPC 023614068143

The BLR is made in many non-rimmed calibres. Spire point bullets are just fine to be shot in lever actions that have box magazines. Poly tipped spire points such as Hornady Leverevolution are also available for rifles with tubular mags

I just got home from my local gunshop, and they had a couple of those. They're neat and interesting, but I think I'm going to stay with my Winchester 94 and Marlins ;).

man you have been going insane on BOB things alot on here lately. including rifles. you dont have any relations to a kaczynski do you?

furthur more, why is it i only see BOB rifles as .22 or .223. is there an unwritten law that denies the use of a rifle with balls as a BOB item?

No there is no law but they are
    1 useful
    2 cheaper
And 3 if I had enough 30/30 it would be my BOB gun

Personally I would just go ahead with the 30-30, because you can get a Marlin or Winchester for a good bit cheaper than a Browning. You could also reload 30-30 then it would be cheaper to use ;).

What 30-30 ammunition do you use?

I use the website ammunitiontogo.com and they have Prvi Partisan ammunition for 30-30 which is I think around $60 for 100 rounds.

Yea, 30-30 tends to be expensive, but where I live it costs $20 for 20 rounds. Good thing I reload it :).

damn, a dollar per round. **** that noise. although a 30-30 is better than a .22. im just saying in the survivalist idea, id carry something in heavy calibur cause its not just animals you need a survival rifle for. some things hunt back especially if you are infact carrying a backpack loaded with goodies. im 6'2", 225 lbs of teufel hunden. you hit me with a .22 its just going to piss me off.

Agreed. I personally would have my AK, 1911, and Mossberg 500 with me, because I love each of the rounds and I love each of the firearms. I'm 6'4 and a .22 would just feel like a sting from a bee or something like that.

The AK would be a WASR 10/63, because I want to have the bayonet lug mainly. The 1911 would be my Springfield Mil-Spec 1911a1 or if I could afford one, a Colt Series 80 1991 model 1911, because I like the GI configuration of 1911's, but I want the 3 dot sights ;). I might possibly include either my Ruger SR9c or the Ruger SR40c for back up just so I could have a similar system and trigger to the 1911, and to have a hi capacity option.

i tried the hi-cap sidearms. i cant do it, i can in 9mm but i wont own anything under a 40 cal for defense reasons. i handled a glock on the range and couldnt stand handling the grip, too fat. then i saw my para gi expert all blacked out and lookin pretty. i like the fact i can use that weapon with one hand accuratly with a firm positive grip at all times.

and for the life of me i cant find anyone who has a maadi like me. i love the damn thing. i cant jam it for sh*t, light as all balls, and complete with a red star trigger assembly. screw that trigger slap.
