Blaser K95 vs Merkel K 3

    anybody able to shed any experience with either of these rifles?....I am looking for a light weight stalking rifle,and these two seem to fit the bill...:confused:

    Just a guess...both are too expensive for the average joe on here to have owned. Had you said Savage, Remington, or Winchester then opinions flow like water. German guns costing many thousands, not so much.

    Are you looking for just lite or fancy sort of lite . Are they the best for your needs ?? Single shot . They look good around the range rover crowd but my not be the best choice as a all weather rifle that will get rough up thru the years . If lite is what your really after then shop harder as a 4.75 to 5.5 lb bolt rifle as they are available in the same price range or lower from a number of builders .

    ultra light arms
    rifles inc
    Christensen arms
    weatherby still has a 5.75 pounder

    and a few others from years gone by like a Remington and browning titanium.

    Buy a boonie packers - safari sling to carry with. Rifes carried in front and can be hands free. Makes a 10lb long ranger easy to carry .
