I prefer the Harris Bipods which I have used for years both on the Team and on my personal rifles. My prference on the model is the Harris 6-9" Bench Model. The lower to the ground the more accurate you will shoot! The Model also depends on how you want to use it regarding the position you are going to be shooting from. Prone, Setting, bench and so forth. But as far as quality I like the Harris units, *but not the swivel models!

When I'm in prone I shoot on a lot of very uneven surfaces. (rocks, dirt, large gravel, etc...) I use the Harris Swivel types in the 6"-9" heights. Keeping it low as possible gives you the most repeatable shots and the swivel bipod allows for any uneven surfaces you may encounter. Also, I always use a small shooting bag for the rear of the butt stock to rest on and to change elevation up or down.

Now, if you only going to shoot off a flat bench then the swivel type bipod isn't needed.

I tried the Atlas bipod on my 260 Rem when it was first built, but very quickly went back to a Harris as the Atlas doesn't pre-load to my liking and is way too slow and a PIA to deploy every time I move, which is a lot.
