Hey, the first post, what an honor.

Where is the best gun range in the Boise area? I used to go to the Blacks Creek range but quit because I do not like the way they run it. I joined the club in Emmett and like shooting there. Are there any other ranges around here someone might recommend?

Parma Gun Club, unlike Emmett's 100 yards, you can shoot to 600 there.

Thanks for that information. I will check out the Parma club. I have been wanting to try some shots with my .308 and .243 that are greater than 100 yards.

Sorry for such a late reply -

Check out Blacks Creek Range, SE of Boise. It is a well-run range with lots of activities. For general shooting, there are 60 lanes up to 200 yards. There are silhouette matches every weekend, including BPCR up to 500 meters on the 4th Saturday and vintage military rifle silhouettes up to 500 meters on the 4th Sunday.

Find info and a schedule here:

Are there any indoor ranges recommended in the Boise area?

Impact Guns has 25-yard lanes, including some that will accomodate high-power rifles.

Boise Rifle and Pistol Club has a nice range. Hours are limited - search to find their web site with calendar, events, etc. They stage bullseye matches and indoor pistol leagues.
