I vote my .45 cal hawken. I can make ammo for it sitting by the fire . Already have 7 pounds of lead made up into manageable ingots and 3 pounds of powder. Know exactly where to go to get more lead. That's tough to beat. Although id prefer the ar with a few hundred rounds of ap but that's not as easy to move or replace.

Go to the "Survival and Susentance Living" section. That topic has been covered in depth there.

Ever hear of Syria? People started to peacefully demonstrate and the government orders the military shoot to kill. Thousands of citizens dead.

Personally I'd love to bring my ak and ar because of reliability and power and I could always through the ak to my buddy and expand my group. But .22 ammo is so easy to get there is tons of it and it's cheap. Shoot for the head and with little to no recoil that's pretty easy plus silencers/home made moderators make it impossible to hear we're your shooting from. Don't get me wrong I love all my bigger calibers but my main concern is quantity of ammo. I can always loot and find more ammo for the others.

Well, the three guns I would recommend are... Oh, sorry, I was having flashbacks to the LAST time. The answer of course is the best one that fits your specific needs.

It hasn't happened in over 200 years, and we have gone through wars, a great depression, and several recessions, and many protests and demonstrations, so why do you think it will happen now? Some of you speak as though you hope it will happen. Yes I have heard of Syria, and we are no Syria.

But in this day of age with obummers socialist tendencies it wouldn't take too much. If he fets reelected then we are up that creek without a paddle. With China holding much of our debt what happens when they want to call it all in? Iran, North Korea, Pakistan, etc we have a lot to worry about without the right leadership.

And look at katrina...we have plenty to worry about these days when our country is on the edge

In all fairness it wasn't Obama who got us into debt w/ China. We were in that long before he came ionto office. The real threat to our country are the real ones who run it; i.e., the large corperations, the banks, the insurance companies, the pharmacutical companies, and the medical profession. As far as protecting us, did any of those do anything to get rid of Sadam and Bin Ladin? No.
