I would have to go with a compact 1911 but if you want smaller these micro 9mm's like the Kahr CM9, Sig P290, XDS, M&P Shield (comes in 40) are all nice CCW options.

Hard to beat a small 1911. I really like my CCO. However, I will admit that the XDs intrigues me.
FWIW, I find .45 acp easier to shoot well in a small package than a .40 S&W.

I know this is a semi auto thread but my vote goes to a small 2in barrel revolver in 357mag.

Good power and a nice sized package but at a serious loss of accuracy usually.

My glock 30 holds 10 plus one they also have a 27 round mag for it. For another 200 bucks i can convert it to a 10mm. Id say thats alot of firepower from a small package.

I dont know about a serious loss of accuracy. True it will be a little less accurate but if you can hit center mass at 15 yards do you want a 45acp or a jhp 357mag

Honestly not sure exactly how the two compare. Anyone have a link?
All I know is at that range I can put a. 45 or 10mm in your head every time. With the sp101. 357 I would have to aim center mass and hope you're not wearing a vest.

Fair enough. Every one has a preference and mine would be a 357mag revolver.

A longer barreled one like the patrolman. Than I'm with you. That thing is fantastic and I could shoot your eye out at 50 yards kinda hard to conceal though. If the snubby works for you. Go with it. I just can't seem to shoot the damn thing. Lol

True. But 1 well placed shot is always better than 5 shots.

I would have to say xdm compact with a 460 rowland kit. Between 10-14 rounds of 44magnum level performance.

Next inline i would say xdm compact 45acp .

    Colt new agent/defender 7+1 45acp.

While i like the idea of the springfield xds they really dropped the ball not making it 7+1

Then there is the soviet tokarev 7.62x25 very slim very powerful for its sixe round. Too much penetration and speed for practical self defense
