Received this from my father for my 30th birthday...heading to the range first thing tomorrow
Very nice, have you ever shot a colt
I have not and I am very excited....we always talked about when we got a 1911 it would be colt and he surprised me this morning....I was speechless
Happy Birthday! And that is really nice! Great Dad you have there! Cherish the time with him! Dads are not around forever!
Keep your weak hand thumb away from the back of the slide when shooting! LOL!
Will do sniper
A colt feels like no other 1911, there very nice and you will be very pleased. You can feel the quality, i wish i never got rid of mine. That first shot will wow you
That's one hell of a surprise.
That's one fine piece there jyack45!
Just remember that's a target pistol. You should shoot standard load 230 gr ball ammo.
Before you try any hotter loads be sure to change out the recoil spring. And there's no need to run HP's through a Gold Cup.
Enjoy your Colt.
Thanks a lot canebrake
Some mild lead SWCs are also nice to shoot in a target 1911.
That's one fine looking pistol...is your Dad interested in adopting another son?
Happy birthday. That is one heck of a present. Enjoy it and the range time with your awesome father.
Very nice. Happy Birthday!
