I purchased a used Beretta 84B a few years ago and have noticed that when the firearm is unloaded, I can't seem to figure out how to lower the hammer from the full-cocked position. I downloaded the user manual that covers all 80 series Beretta pistols and the section that covers this topic doesn't seem to apply to my model. Does anyone out there own an 84B and can tell me if it's possible to lower the hammer while the pistol is unloaded, and if so, how?

I would much appreciate input on this.

    Thanks,

    Gary

If it has a magazine disconnect, you'll have to put in an empty mag to pull the trigger. This is why I really dislike mag disconnects...

Yep, ya' gotta' have a magazine in it. ;)

As long as the slide is closed and the chamber is empty, shouldn't matter if it's a loaded mag. or an empty one.

But I would try an empty mag first. I have a TV that suffered from a small slip I had.
