Always wanted a really nice rifle, well at the LGS I saw on the used rack a nice 223. Picked it up and looked it over & over & over. Set it back in the rack and went home. The next day went back and it was still there. Looked at it again and then went home again and all I could do was think about it. Again on the
3rd day it was still there, but did I really need it as I already have two .223's a CZ 527 Varminter and a Ruger Mini. I had done some looking on the internet for info about this rifle and got some good reviews, so The 3rd time was the charm. I plunked down the money, filled out the form and took it home. Topped it off with a Vortex Viper 4x16x44 and headed to the range for site in.
What a pleasure it was to shoot this single shot.
After loading different loads to see what it would shoot, I settled on one load and did some reloading for the up and coming Prairie poodle shoot
Well here is the gun and how it shoots.

Oh yes it is a Cooper mdl 21 Varmint Extreme and was one of the earlier rifles made when Dan Cooper was still with the company. It was so early the present day company does not have any record of it.
I think it will be a keeper

    Congrats,
Those old Coopers are VERY accurate and high end quality.

If I ever came across one, I know it would follow me home.

    Good grab.

Heard of Cooper's, but don't know anything about them. Looks like ya got a very nice keeper there.

Are they anything like Dakota's where it's pretty much hand built on a chosen Action?

    Here is there web site
    http://www.cooperfirearms.com/
pretty much hand made and it can take several months to get one if you order one to your liking. I was looking at a model 56 in 300 win mag the other day and it was priced right at 3 grand

Nice rifles. I would have to sell all my rifles to be able to get one of them. I think I will keep what I have. I just don't see one rifle doing every thing I do.

Great choice. I've owned two Coopers for almost 5 years. Both have been great shooters.Congratulations!
