I shot this Yogi sunday with a 375 Ruger. He is a nice bear for an Oregon bear. Just shy of six feet. The 260 grain Partition just hammered him.

    Awesome! Thanks for the picture.

He looks like a really good bear, a good and dead bear. :D

This monitor is not great; where on his body did you get him?

I shot him through the shoulders. All I had was my cell phone so no trophy pics. I couldn't roll him over for a better picture. My hunting partners were 15 miles away drinking beer in the shade so I couldn't borrow a camera(or a damn bone saw:mad:).

I've killed several and love the meat of BLACK bear. Congrats. You do know that the hams can be cured just like a hog and tastes wonderful that way.

Yeah I'll have plenty of summer sausage, corned bear, steaks and burger.

The only kind of bear ive had is jerkey, what does a bear steak taste like? My oldladys uncle got a bear about a month ago and he said when it was processed and he got it home it tasted like it had spoiled. So i never got a chance to try it.

Congrats on a nice bear. The only time I ate bear meat was in Maine when I hunted there. A guy who shot one donated a back strap for us to taste and the guides wife put it on the BBQ. It was tender and delicious!
