Y'all should hear them sing Dixie.....

I was in SLC on business one day, literally across the street from Temple Square. When I finished business I walked over into the square, and walked into the Tabernacle. The Choir was rehearsing, and you could sit and listen in. Strange building- acoustics are so good, no sound system really needed.

REALLY good afternoon. The choir is great- the organ is a HOOT!

My son used to play Dixie, it used 2b my favorite. He just got his first job as a pianist. I'll ask him to record and post it.

That one sends chills up and down my spine. One of the greatest renditions ever.

Second only to hearing it on a bagpipe.

I lived up north for some 31 years . I also lived down south some 30 years .
Had I to do it all over again , I think I'd be in or around the mountains of North or South Carolina . The food , to die for , Mmmmmm. ,

These emotions need to be brought back and the true meaning of unity and brotherhood !

Monday morning and you gotta make my eyes water dont ya! Doesnt matter how many times I hear it, happens every time like the first time I remember hearing it at my dads funeral in 68. One piper or one hundred, tears do flow.

The Mormon tabernacle choir is a fabulous group, doesnt get any better, I can listen to them daily, their devotion is clearly evident in their expression.

Winds gets me with AG, then JTJ, then you hit me with another encore and Scotland the Brave! Now theres a puddle under my Puter and the fan is sucking up my tears, that wont help the old laptop much! There are only a few things that will bring the tears out of me and the War Pipes will do it every single time! I think I will call in sick and blame it on FTF!!!!!!!!

Son refuses to go online with Dixie, says he can't play it good enough. The real reason is hanging out with friends all day long. I don't play instruments. My apologies.
