Greetings All,
I apologize if this is a dumb question, for the last half century + I have only had single action pistols and lever action rifles, I have never really had to work on any of them other than maintenance. So this Blackout 300 with a suppressor is very new to me. I have a DB15 from Diamondback in Florida that I want to add a Banish 30 Gold suppressor onto, but not sure if it came with the proper flange to match the suppressor's muzzle brake. The flange (if that is the proper name) has the following issues.
- Seems to be crimped or threaded onto the barrel, I can't get it to catch any threads to unscrew it but I have only tried with moderate pressure.
- It is very loose on the barrel and just smooshes one way or the other when the muzzle brake is installed. When I first looked at it (before I touched it) I noticed the flange was out of alignment with the brake by a LOT (smooshed to the side).
- There seems to be a reverse chamfer on the flange that does not matched the muzzle brake, could it be on backwards?
- If I install the Banish 30 brake and suppressor, about 50% of the time I get the barrel to line up with the suppressor and 50% of the time the alignment rod comes into contact with the suppressor. Definitely not repeatable and I have no confidence it will maintain alignment during firing.
I appreciate any guidance.
Thanks
-Bryan
