Been looking for quite a while..finally found one. Bankers Special in .38S&W ser. no.3293xx from 1930. Small town small gun shop find. Period holster and a box of old Winchester ammo included....$400 otd. Not the prettiest but original. Tight lock up excellent bore. These were holstered and fired very little as I carried one back in the sixties. Here's a few pics.

Thanks for sharing. I don't think I've ever seen one. Nice find.

What is the difference between the Bankers Special and the Detective Special?

Detective specials will put you in the grave, while banker specials will put you in the grave with a high interest rate.

It looks like a bigger grip, maybe even a bigger frame.

I have only seen one and sold for more than $400 at a recent auction and was in about 50% condition. In fact the high bid was $475 + 15% buyers fee + 6% sales tax + $5 NICS call. You got a great deal.
