I recently purchased a "battlefield pickup" AK47 wood stock set from my local Vet surplus store. The buttstock has "Pavelic" hand carved into it on the shooter's left side, "Yuka" on the right of the upper forend, and something illegible on the left side of the lower. I assume Yuka to be the previous owner, but why would he inscribe Pavelic so large on the buttstock? From my research, Ante Pavelic was Croatia's version of Hitler.
