What do you think of the Baby Browning? I know .25ACP isn't much of a round, but I kind of like the idea of it as a pocket pistol. I may be able to pick up a very nice one for cheap, so I'd like your input gents.

    What say you?

If it is not your primary SD handgun, go for it.

If you are able to get close enough, and point it at the heart, neck or face, it will be plenty.

I'm going to pass, even though it was super clean. I was also interested in a pretty clean Ortgies .32ACP at half the price, but it got sold yesterday. I'll just wait and see what eventually turns up.

Nicely made, reliable functioning guns. The .25 ACP feeds much better than .22 LR, due to no rim. The rather anemic cartridge does have some better modern loadings, which moves it up from ridiculous to merely inadequate.

However,if you use a 2 handed stance, it may suffice. One hand holds pistol, one hand holds shoulder of assailant, and empty the mag.

BTW, Bauer made their version of the Baby- not a bad copy.

I was fooling around with the TKO and IPSC power scale formulas a few years ago and the 25 ACP always came out very low on the list: *The short barrel 357 ammo had a velocity of 985fps out of a 1.875" barrel.

Yeah, it's a doctors gun. You know, eyes, ears, nose and throat.

It was just really, really nice. Unfortunately it's completely impractical for me. I just don't have very much discretionary gun money.
