good luckThe upper and lower are made from 8620 carbon steel that has been color case hardened with the Turnbull bone charcoal process.
mostly done on older, antique or reproduction firearms. looks much better on firearms that would have been done originally with this type of treatment. but on that AR, it looks good because the reciever is steel instead of aluminum and it is a unique look for a modern rifle.Not my cup of tea - not sure why its so popular or the appeal of having a gun look like a photo negative.
