Some new wood just came in. Amboyna Burl and 1 peice of Honduran rosewood. This stuff is incredible! This is all acrylic stabilized. Try not to look directly into your screen lol

That's some very beautiful wood. I look forward to seeing your work using that!

Beautiful grain,,, I can see it on a Nessmuk or Hudson Bay style camp knife, that would make great grip panels for a 1911 also, please post the finished products, I'm sure they'll be top notch.

I'd love to see an electric guitar body made out of some of that, especially the two tone.

How is it for working with? Is it brittle or crumbly when shaping?

it's been acrylic stabilized so it's very stable and hard. Amboyna is very hard anyway. I would venture to guess a piece of Amboyna like this big enough to make a guitar back or front would run in the $500 - 1000 range

Very nice. But how about the whole solid body being made out of the wood he is showing here with the natural color change being incorporated? I love a nice Les Paul, and that birds eye maple top is mighty pretty.

I'm thinking 2" thick and 16" x 14". I true custom Fender or Gibson runs close to $5000 or more so the type of wood almost becomes a secondary consideration in cost.

oh I thought you meant take your parts and make one. If they make it it would cost a fortune.

My bad guys sry. wasn't trying to jack a thread or anything. Guitars got brought up thought the birds eye fit.

Nice slabs by the way Dan, great color
