What were they picking off him?
Hard to believe he wouldn't fly or try to get away.
Looked like he got tagged by a porcupine.
That was pretty cool.
Remember this one where a dolphin asked a diver for help?
Yup. Porcupine quills.
Apparently the crow was pestering them to help him out. Crows are some of the smartest birds known. They will even use crude tools to get food- this has been observed in the wild. Not too long ago it was thought that only primates used tools.
I've seen them on the side of the road and when a vehicle approached, they would all shout "CAR."
LOL! Yup. I have seen that too.
I have watched crows place things in the road to get cars to run them over to open them up (bones, nuts, even packages of food they couldn't open) and when the tires of the cars don't hit the item they will fly down and move it into a better position.
The ones that have been observed using tools are Catalonian Crows, but I think that they are all really smart.
That is an awesome video.
Some birds have been observed using sticks to poke bugs out of holes in trees so they could be eaten. Nature is amazing. And I believe many animals have more thought processes then we give them credit for.
That was pretty cool, humans and crows have been linked through history for lots of things. The Indians consider the Crow to be spiritual, its been said that they are the flying eyes of the tribe. Not sure if I hold them that high but they are pretty smart when it comes to feeding and acting in unison. Weve all seen a thousand crows feeding on chud in the middle of the road but how many dead ones do you see in the road, few to none?
The Crows have really become an issue around some of the cities in the last few years mostly in winter. Thousands of them flocking and hanging in certain areas creates a noise and poo problem for the local residents. They try everything short of killing them to chase them away and nothing short of killing them will move them until they are good and ready to move.
I like crows but they are noisy buggers!
Murder of crows................
Dem sum smart sunsabeaches. My father had a pet crow as a youngster. If you want to out smart them to rid the hood of the beggars, Use one bite rat poison mixed with a dozen cracked eggs, shells included. Dinner is servd..........Do this at nesting time..............It works.................

Welcome back Vincine! Now all we need is for Dango to post and this day will be perfect!
I dont like crows.... The ones around my house are huge and mean! One even tried to start a fight with a friend of mine outta the blue... ***** the crows!!
Usually they only harass people for a reason. Maybe your friend is an asshole?
Now I feel bad about all those crows I shot for sport!
