Absolutely, especially after the BG presented his firearm. The store owner was in his rights to shoot the idiot.

    I admire the guy's restraint.

Who needs another female relative, slobbering to the

media, about how the poor, dead, BG was

"just starting to turn his life around"?

Look, all bad guys are on the verge of turning over a new leaf. This was probably his last job and he just needed a little capital to get on the right track.

Yeah, but every time Ain't B Ju-momma chimes in with that

"just starting" rhetoric, my brain tries to escape thru my

left earhole. Is this what they teach all the girls to say, in

    "Dead BG's relative, 101" , or something? Puh-leeze!

Yea that was really calm and cool of the store clerk. I am not sure the robber would have faired so well with many of us.

I'm with you on that. I don't know of you've ever watched that how the First 48 but they always use that line. Or "he was planning on going to college", or "he had 23 children and was enjoying being a father". Oh really? Then why was he hanging out with a bunch of gang bangers and selling drugs? And why did he get killed by rival gang members or drug dealers.

This guy showed a lot of restraint even though he was within his rights to shoot him. This guy will get out of jail and give someone else the opportunity to though.

By not dropping the dirt bag he has given him another chance to kill someone else. I'd rather hear the dirt bags relatives crying than the relatives of some innocent victim.

You guys see the pic of the good guy? Black beret, Army Ranger. The BG sure did pick the wrong target!

I do think since he pulled and was threatened he should have put that animal down.

Before I get flamed, I know Rangers have tan berets. Bc of the man's age and how old the picture was, I'm assuming it was taken before 2000 when black was taken from Rangers and given to all of the Army.

Even the Today show gave it positive coverage.

Apparently the local PD told the guy he was pretty lucky. The clerk said "I think the other guy might have been a little luckier than me." Considering he could have just shot him I tend to agree.

No he was not a Ranger the flash on his Beret is not a Ranger Flash.
He was just a regular soldier.
The reason he didn't shoot the thief is because his gun was never pointed at him and that he did not feel threatened.
He showed great control over the situation.
