I heard somethin about the gen 4 having a recall and the gen 3s are more reliable what are the diffrences other than grip texture? Are the internals the same? If a part on my gen 3 broke can I interchange it with a gen 4 part? Please give me more knowledge on this. :)

The gen 4 has a slightly different trigger group that adds about a pound and a half to the pull. You can change them out with older models. My gen 2 has a gen 4 trigger group in it (not by choice). I haven't heard about any other issues.

Glock has already fixed that issue with the recoil spring. So you are good. And besides the dual recoil spring being different the gen 4 has bigger mag release, and ambidextrous.

I've also heard the large spring slipping over the smaller one on the gen 4 2 piece guide rod/ spring assbly.
