Alright, I know this is a dumb question given the state of demand for ar15 and ammo at this time, but does anyone know of a website that keeps bulk .223/5.56 readily available? I've tried my local shops for the past month and a half or so and have only been able to come up with 2 boxes of Remington .223 and a box hornaday. Any help would be very much appreciated.

If you want to pay $1 a round, sure.

cheaperthandirt has been ripping people off BIG TIME since this latest run on guns and ammo, just like last time. Anyone with a clue isn't just not buying there but BOYCOTTING them.

Sorry boy... Terrible recommendation IMO, especially for a first post, but welcome.

Amen. I'm writing off Bud's as well.

I get the whole supply/demand thing, and expect a significant markup when things are selling out in seconds and replacing stock is extremely difficult. But a few sites have taken things way over the top, and Bud's and CTD reside at the pinnacle of any such list. So they no longer have access to my funds.

PSA, Midway, Brownells, JoeBobs, AIM (among many others...Sportsman's Guide, Cabela's, Natchez, BCM, BoTach, etc, etc...all good) have handled this situation quite well and should benefit from decades of business as a result. I've already sent PSA $6K this year, and happily. CTD? Zero. And it'll remain that way.

Yep, buds is in town where I live. I haven't been there since I saw their ammo prices. My go to store had raised pmags to $39 and they cheap ammo to $12 for 223.

They only raised prices on what is hard to come by. I bought a bunch of 5.56 mil rounds at 10 for a box of 20 and 7 a box for Tula 7.62 a couple months ago when they had it.

Hell yeah!!!!! @Patton, have you used the rounds before? If so how are they? That it is a killer deal given the prices lately.

Privi rounds I have fired before, not from this particular dealer. I've never had any issue with them. Of course, .70 each is still in my eyes not much short of anal rape with no lube, but given the difficulty to secure rounds here lately sometimes you have to take what you can get. I managed to get 300 rounds from PSA last week at .63 each shipped. I haven't really found anything under .60 in the last couple months.

Haha I hear you, it is tough all over trying to find ar/ak ammo here also. I went to my local bass pro shop about 2 weeks ago and they didn't have box one of either. I couldn't believe it.

So I decided I wanted to shoot the old Winchester 94 30-30 tonight. Went to the range, they had no 30-30 rounds. Well sh1t! So I drove the 2 miles or so to Academy Sports, and they had no 30-30. Kinda pissed off at this point, I go to Walmart. They have exactly ZERO boxes of 30-30. And just to add insult to injury they had 3 of the 100 round boxes of .223 in stock. Of course I bought one, and sent my dad to buy one, but it's just my friggin luck I find .223 in stock for .35 a round and can't find the 30-30 round I want. They also had probably 15-20 boxes of TulAmmo. Dude told me they don't typically stock them at night anymore, they are now doing it early in the morning, tonight was just a random occurrence and I happened to be there looking. Any other time I'd consider it good fortune, but all the .223 in the world doesn't help me shoot the old 94.

Then my dad called me an hour later, said he found 3 boxes of 30-30 in his closet. Better than nothing I suppose, though it'll be tomorrow before I can get to the range with them.

Man I wish we had to .223 out here for 30¢ a round. I'm lucky if a find out under a dollar round.

That box was just a pure dumb luck I stumbled into it while hunting for something else. A little luck never hurts.
