Hi, I have this ar-15 and in trying to see if I can get a good price for selling it. I bought it a year ago used for 850$, it's chambered in 5.56, 1/7 twist, colt upper receiver and rock river arms lower receiver. Excellent condition. I have a friend who wants to buy it for 750$. Think a gun store would offer more? Please gives your opinion. Thanks.

Colt upper receiver, RRA lower... Right now you could sell it for a lot more than $750.

777,

If it is a good friend I might let him have it for $850.00 But you may be able to get more if you choose not to sell it to him as a friend. But I would certainly not sell it for less than what I had in it. Not at this time! There is hardly a dealer in the country that has an AR left on the shelf for sale. And if you ordered one today it could be 8 months or a year before you got it.
And the new ones may be restricted under a new gun ban policy by the time you got it. So you might not be able to get another rifle exactly like yours. Something to think about!

03,

To be honest, I don't really want the gun anymore. Im going to upgrade calibers and get a 308. But You think it could be sold for more than 850$? Because when I bought the gun it seemed like someone just took an upper and a lower, slapped them together and sold it.

they may have just slapped an upper on a lower and sold it. happened quite a bit over the years. to see what yours could possibly be worth, look at some of the completed sales on some of the gun auction sites. not the asking prices, but the actual completed auction sales. this could give you at least an idea of what it could be worth.

You can defiantly get more that $850 for your AR-15. But if your selling it to your friend, and you are not looking to make a profit on it, then by all means sell it to your friend. For that price you can sell it to me......
