anyone own a ACR ?

A opportunity has come to move a basic PSA MOE AR 16" w/ rear flip ups , stripped lower and a handgun w/ ammo I have that I don't like for a very lightly used 1 yr old ACR .
Any issues with these rifles besides being on the heavy side?
Just looking for something different as I have plenty of ARs ;)

they dont re-zero very well after the barrel is detached and some reported feed issues.

my opinion keep your AR15 or look for a scar

Yup looks like im going to be keeping my stuff. I had just typed it and the guy I was supposed to meet this afternoon called. He forgot to pull it off gun broker and it sold about 30 min ago. No loss for me but thanks for the quick response Jon. I appreciate it. Kinda chaps my *** because we already had the deal worked out and I had filled all the paper work out . I would rather have the SCAR anyway

I just don't think Bushmaster has anything worth what they want for the ACR; that being said, if you can get one for a steal, might be something to have.

Hey, yea I would go with the fn scar, I've had mine around a year now and no trouble at all. I've never shot an ACR however I do know when I held them for comparison I didn't like how the fire selector knob was in so tight to my hand. I went with the scar light in 5,56, at the time I got it used (practically new) for a little over $2,000. And I went with that option provided that by the time I I put everything into an AR I wanted it would have turned out the same price.

I had an ACR enhanced for about a year and just traded it yesterday for an fs2000, the ACR just doesn't do anything to command the huge price tag! It's got some cool features like the non reciprocating charging handle but that doesn't make up for the negatives! I've been an ACR fanboy ever since I read about them years ago, I wouldn't give up any of my ar's for another one

I have to agree, I can't see spending $1000 for a Bushmaster and for at least twice that their ACR really doesn't top a quality AR.

My friend has a acr 2 tone black and tan. Idk if he is going to sell it....he has only had problems with the bolt needing to be replaced and cleaned ALOT

They also shoot slower than ar's. Id buy a f2000 they are very nice and can run u cheap

I thought one of the purposes of this Gee-whiz gun is that it is suppose to need LESS cleaning, not MORE. Seems to me like the smart thing to do would be to a. get a teir 1 AR. or b. fix up your teir 3 AR and make it better. If I wanted a semi that wasn't on the AR platform but used AR mags, I am still inclined to go with the HK variant. 2K is a lot to spend for what little the ACR gives.
