And what powder do you prefer for reloading for the 222 Remington?
My favorite load and powder and the most accurate in my rifle is the 40 grain Hornady V-Max and 20 grains of RelOder 7. One hole groups.
Thank you CottonTop for the recipe.
Sierra matchking #1410 and book max loads of IMR4198 here.
What kind of pet?
I was thinking mostly baby harp seals, being up in the north, ya know.
And I was able to find me some Gunpowder and primers when i went to the big city this past week. Not a big selection of anything, but they did have this Reloader 7, as Cottontop suggested. Any other small rifle powder wasn't to be seen.
IMR-3031-22.5Gr under a 40 Gr Hornet Bullet, yes I know one should not use Hornet Bullets in the 222 Remington,so I had to try them they work just fine for me.
100 yds 3 shots .354 clover my best shots ever!
I use IMR-3031 from 222 to 45-70 and all in-between calibers.
I like Reloader 7 for my 223 loads.
I just finished up making my crude but effective powder dipper to start to reload my 222 brass. A few more days I'll be trying it out and sighting in the scope. Whoot! Whoot!
