I recently bought a straight for myself as a birthday gift. I decided to be frugal and purchase a disposable blade variety (glad I did, otherwise I couldn't afford my new pistol!) But I still enjoy the process, frothing up a rich lather, and making sure not to cut myself, and so on. My setup here is an Escali badger brush, a Parker SRW shavette, Shark half-DE blades, and Edwin Jagger sandalwood shave soap. And yes, that is a real monocle there. After I save up more money and get more accustomed to the process, I will be moving up to a real straight and getting all the accessories that go with it (strop, stone, silvertip brush, etc.) Anyone else here prefer a straight over multi-blade disposables?
