I have about 1000 rounds thru my SR40. I get hangers/stovepipes 1 every other magazine lately. Hate the thought of that happening during a SD scenario!

Anyone had issues with SR40? Any suggested cures?

I shot my SR40C for the first time a couple of weeks ago and had 5-6 stovepipes out of 75 rounds. I was using my reloads and they chrographed at 800 fps, which is a little light. They work fine in my Glock, but Glock's will take about anything. I fired about 1/2 box of factory 165 fmj and had no problems. They also seemed to recoil a little more. I'm thinking I need to step up my reloads a little to help the problem.

Around 4,000 rounds through my year old sr40 without a single problem.

If it is jamming up on you the problem may be that you have to much oil on the firing pin. Try cleaning it off really well and it might fix the problem.

    Update***

Cleaned the striker assembly (was super oily and dirty) and the extractor (which was full of build-up). Issue solved. I even tried limp wristing a few rounds and still ejected fine

Please explain how too much oil would cause an ejection problem??

I have the sr40c and it will jam when I use cheap amo, unless I clean it every 20-30 rounds or so, but no probs with Winchester rounds several 100 rounds with no issues
