Anyone else carry a PPK or PPK/S?

On dressy occasions, I sometimes carry my Interarms PPK/S, here she is with Altamont Oak Leaves and an Alessi OWB belt holster. I have several thousand trouble-free rounds through this pistol, and as long as I feed her FMJ, she runs smooth as silk. The PP series was designed long before HP ammo was around so I stick to FMJ and count on being both careful and accurate when I do choose to carry this piece.

Depending of what I plan to do. I try to carry a 1911 most of the time, but there are times that is impractical. I have different handguns for different times or places.

I have a PPK and a PPK/S and both digest JHP without problems. Yes, I carry them some, but less now that I got the Sig P238...

    Thats a purddy set up.

I've often thought about getting a PPK/S, but never followed through and got something else instead.

That is some high quality gun porn. I have a ppk/s. I used to carry it all the time, till I got the 1911. Mine is particular on ammo too. Hp's are just not dependable enough. Not terrible, but when your life depends on it... it has to be perfect. Winchester blunt nose ammo is the best I have found.

Thanks; my PPK/S is the only "purdy" gun I own...the rest are "tools". I haven't had any trouble with WWB blunt nose ammo, but I got a couple of boxes of Fiocchi 95 gr FMJ's and they seem to be a little hotter than most
.380 ammo. So I stocked up when given the chance to do so. I also changed my recoil spring out for a Wolff 16 LB spring awhile back and my PPK/S runs like a fine watch. The stock 20 LB spring seemed to much and she just seems smoother with the 16 LB spring in.

Maybe I had a bad example, but I absolutely despise my dad's walther ppk-s. The trigger feels like it was cut from stone with scissors by Michael J Fox, and the grip couldn't possibly be worse for my hands.

    That aside, yours is gorgeous!

I don't carry a PPK or PPK/S but just wanted to let you know that that is one nice looking piece of hardware that you have there.

Too bad about that trigger...mine is as crisp as it can be. Maybe you got some crud down in there? If you still have it, and want to get rid of it, since it's a piece of junk...maybe we can deal.

That is one BEAUTIFUL weapon you have there:)
Most of the time I carry a 1911 and/or my keltec .32. However, I have always wanted a PPK, and when I finally get one, I will carry it:cool:

I carried a PPK as a back-up quite often when I was still LE. Was a great piece and functioned 100%. I wish I still had it, sold it back in the early 90s.

I have a Sig 230, kind of the same pistol, mine is't as prudy but it fits a need when wearing shorts and a tee shirt. Always better to carry something than nothing at all.
