    I’m 6’2” and looking for a 10/22 for Appleseed.

I’ve a Savage MkII TR (high ‘comb’) and have gotten 1” groups at 100y on a (very rare) good day from BR or prone w/a 'pod & 'bag, but I can’t really get a comfortable cheek weld when standing or in other positions. When sighting through the scope, the butt is way high out of my pocket despite having high mounts, and if I pocket the butt, my neck is all scrunched up and crinked trying to see through the scope. Besides, it’s a bolt action.

The ‘Tactical Standard’ 10/22 looks like it has the biggest stock angle off the barrel. So, tall shooters, how do the 10/22s fit?

I'm 6'2 heavy built and never had an issue shooting 10/22's in the factory wood stock. I'm. Also left handed. One of the accessory companies used to offer a bolt on spacer/ stock extended that added an inch or two but I haven't used the tac stocks.

I'm 6'2" 220 lb. I don't have a problem shooting them. They are a little short and take some getting use to.

I'm 6'2" 200 lbs and apart from the stock being a little short, no problems for me.

I guess I'm a midget...6'1" @ 190 compared to the rest of the forum, but I've shot 10-22's for years and never had any problem with a Redfield scope.
About 2 years ago I started shooting a Henry 22 lever action. I have more fun with the Henry and don't have to pick up near as much brass. At 100 yards on a prop or leadsled I can shoot 1" groups on a good day.

Did the Army have uniforms your size or did they just issue you a green parachute and a sewing kit.
I was in the Navy with a guy 6'6" @ 225 lb and wore size 13 boots and had a 34" waist. Nobody messed with this dude.

I am 6' 2 1/2". My son is 6' 1". We were both fine with the factory stock. Then we did the Butler Creek folder. The best so far is the Arch Angel Tactical stock. It has an adjustable buttstock. There is also a rail. A little pricy. But worth every penny if you ask me.

LOL, 6'2, must be very common. I'm also 6'2, I shoot a Marlin 15YN no problem, it has a youth model stock. Had it since I was a kid.

My son is 6'4" and his buddy is 6'6", neither one has any problems shooting my 10/22 except as I said earlier, the stock is a bit short for us. I now have a MI Carbine stock on it and that is a little short as well. Love the heck out of this gun though!

:( I am so small compared to everyone. 5'8 @ 125. Growth hormones here I come. :) my friends are pretty tall and they have no problem with the .22s. Just have to find the one right for you and get use to such a small gun.

Boy! All you tall guys in one place! I've been hanging out in the wrong places!

So anyway, all you tall guys shooting 10/22s have the butts in your pocket while using the iron sights without your necks bent over like a soda straw? How do you guys do with a 5.56 or .308?

No I am not from Alabama ! That is an insult ! LOL . I am from Texas .

I shoot my AR 15 /M4 carbine just like the army trained me. I also have a youth model Remington 710 in 243 witch I can shoot one handed if need be and it's about the same size as my AR.
