Please pass on.
I hope all our weapons people from Illinois show up for this meeting. And "fill the room" well ahead of time for the meeting to begin! That is important! All should spread the word about the meeting! Power is in numbers and if handled tactfully as I am sure you and other will we can gain ground if we do the some homework and prepare ahead of time to give examples and also those situations where not having the CCW was detrimental to life and serious injuries. And the positive of people being not able to defend themselves. You probably should contact the NRA regarding the meeting. I know they have direct representatives in Illinois as well as Indiana and surrounding states that could be of help!
Good luck with your input! I will be thinking and praying for all of you in IL!
Good job Shade.
Keep up the good work. Get the info out to as many outlets as possible.
Glenview is my back yard and sadly I will not be able to make this due to my wife's work schedule. I did go to the last anti gun rally in Glenview and there were about 10 of us pro gunners to each anti gunner. There were so many of us the police wouldn't let us all in citing fire codes. There were dozens of people standing outside in frigid temperatures, I was one of them. I stayed for about 20 minutes then went home.
I had already reposted the ISRA alert on my facebook page immediately upon receiving it. Thanks for reposting here Shade, I didn't even think of it.
2 problems for me, one it is over 100 miles and I will be in MS for business.
I hope we get a good turn out.
SPECIAL ALERT UPDATE - YOUR ACTION REQUIRED
RALLY AGAINST CONCEALED CARRY CANCELLED BY ORGANIZERS
As announced in earlier ISRA alerts, anti-gun State Representative Laura Fine along with the Illinois Council Against Handgun Violence and the*Cook*County*State's Attorneys Office, planned to hold a "public meeting" to attack concealed carry. *The meeting was to be held the evening of Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at the Glenview Police Station.
The ISRA has just learned that the organizers of the meeting have postponed the event until a date to be announced later. *We suspect that the organizers will reschedule after they have found a venue spacious enough to accommodate the large number of law-abiding firearm owners who will turn out for the event.
Once the new date and location of the meeting are announced, the ISRA will notify you by way of an alert.
In the mean time, DO NOT show up at the Glenview Police Station Wednesday night.
We are sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused you.
I hope the new date is a day I can attend. I'd love to go and represent us gun owners. Glenview is a very do-able drive for me.
Thanks for posting in a timely manner.
I just read the email this morning. Glad to see that we are having an impact!!!
Rally cancelled, email came last night. But stay vigilant for future non-sense.
