I have an Anschutz Training rifle in 4 MM Lang. My grandfather brought it back from WWII. It looks like a smaller version of the Mauser 98K. It has some rather rare "national socialist German workers party" logos. It's in really great condition. I've looked for info on its value, but have not seen any of these rifle with NSDAP logos on them. It's pretty cool. Any info on how I could find out the rifle's value would be appreciated.

:D

Alright folks. I took some pics of the Anschutz 4mm lang rifle. I'm not much of a photographer, but I hope this will give you an idea as to the condition of the rifle. I haven't looked at the inside of the barrel yet. That's another undertaking. Any info you can provide about the rifle's value would be fantastic. Thank you! ;)

You would TRULY need an appraisal from a real firearms appraiser. Over at Autionarms.com, and at Gunbroker.com, there is a link to a fee appraisal service. Have seen SIMILAR but later production guns go for $350-$450, but w/o nazi markings. You could also inquire here: J.G. ANSCHÜTZ GmbH & Co. KG PS- for ammo, check International Shooters Supply, Ft Worth TX

I wrote J.G. Anschutz an e-mail last night about my rifle and I'll let you know the response I get. Thanks. ;)

4mm lang (long) is a rimfire round similar to a .22 CB cap. There was also a 4mm Kurz (short). I believe it was a Flobert invention. RWS made ammo and some is available.

Very nice rifle.

Just checking all anschutz threads and forums,I have a model 64 shilloutie Its has the break apart bolt so you can get at the firing pin. Inside of the bolt was a tiny metal pin that helped link two ends of bolt, I lost it need a place to find oe or a bolt to replae it. Gun still works fine but I would like to have it back. e-mail me at mj5678live.com if you know where I can get one.

Anschutz was very nice in their correspondence with me about the rifle. They acknowledged that they produced the rifle, but had very little additional info to share. They suggested that I check the Blue Book of firearms to obtain the value. I did this, but could find no information.

I've only seen pictures of one other rifle with the Deutsche Arbeitsfront (DAF) or Kraft Durch Freude "Strength through Joy" logo on it. This particular rifle seems to be quite the rare find. I'm pretty excited. :D
