    They look similar to the style Talo uses on their SE Colts.

    Maybe this is a foolish question, but...what is gained from the void at the top grip finger?

    I've seen many setups like this, from 1911s to target rimfires. It looks a little odd to these novice eyes, but I'm sure there's a perfectly good reason for it.

    Not sure I totally understand your question, but these grips in my hand fit perfect, all fingers are accommodated so there is no slippage when shooting… especially for one handed shooting IMO. There is no void in these grips.

    The Mag release maybe?
    Not sure what void. Can't make out the pic on my phone with these old eyes.

    I believe he is referring to the void just under the trigger guard, where the birdie finger rests. :D
