AK74 vs Uzi

There both great...im a big uzi fan but there kinda rough shooting unless you get the full wood stock them rails in the folding stock aren't to comfy....if you don't mind the size I would get the ak74 its a great round...

 

Well, for starters unless you get a fully automatic AK74 or Uzi they're not considered "Assault Rifles/Machineguns". By definition a Machinegun is, "Any weapon which shoots, is designed to shoot, or can be

Yeah I think we all understnad that....but anyways the ak74 would be a better choice just becouse its a better bullet....

 

Both that accurate and I've heard they have good stopping power im looking into getting one...I love uzi just not a big fan on 9mm you can get good rounds for a 9mm...

 

Uzi are good when there full auto....semi its just another gun to me

The only issue I have with the UZI is

accuracy, which actually isn't bad, considering

the design and barrel length.

If you get an UZI, and your sidearm is a Beretta, Glock, or CZ75,

you can share ammo with your pistol.

That said, I generally prefer the AK...

The Ak-74 has a devastating round and is almost as accurate as a 223 plus really cheap to shoot.
the UZI I am a fan of the IMI ones that are not all long barreled and stupid like the ones century have for sale. They have a lot of problem I bought one Century never again.

 

I wouldn't condemn Century because of a couple of bad apples,

in all fairness, it IS a large barrel. Did you go back to their CS

and ask for help on the issue? Bad service could bury ANY

company.

 

I have a century arms golani/galil and its a great rifle I love it so might had just been the rifle

 

I did I sent it back 3 times you get what you payed for I guess just my opinion the UZI with that barrel is stupid unless you sbr it

 

What exactly are the qualities that are important to you? I like the UZI, but I also like the AK and it's variants, so this is a hard choice. I don't envy your situation.

The UZI fires a very common round.
The AK fires a not quite as common, but still really cheap round.
Both are durable.
The AK exhibits more devastating ballistics
AK likely more accurate at longer ranges.
Cool factor for both are phenomenal.
Both would make a home invader crap their pants.


I think ceteris parabis, I would get the UZI just because the ammo could be found at most any local Wal Mart that still carries ammo.

 

For HD, I'd have to take the UZI, but not with that

ridiculous compliance barrel.

For inside a structure, I'd rather have a pistol, anyway.

 

HD is important for this choice. Personally I don't like rifles for HD, I live in an apartment and penetration is a very important factor for me. But that's me, situation and mileage will vary.

 

I have a UZI and a AK-47 and they are both great but if you are going to choose between the 2 get the AK-47.

BTW I have 4 Century arms guns including the UC-9 UZI and have had good luck with all of them. The only problem I have had with the UZI is it doesn't like to cycle 115 grain 9mm. Stick with 125 and you will be fine.
