Whats is a funner rifle to shoot a ak-47 or a ar 15?
First, stop by the intro section so you can get to know us! We're a pretty friendly bunch here, and like to give all our new members a warm welcome.
Second, that's a matter of opinion, and pretty sure to start a good running thread. My opinion, the AK is more fun. But only by a hair, and really only if it's full auto.
Im thinking of an inter ordnance ak47 or spend a little more for an ar 15. But i need to consider keeping the ammo cost down. Any opinions?
You can keep ammo costs down with both by buying surplus ammo. Not too sure on the numbers, but I think they're both pretty cheap on the surplus market.
Now the AR is quite a bit more accurate, but a new shooter may not even be able to notice the difference.

my pick would be ar15. i find ak47s to be unpleasent at best to shoot.
Jon is correct, the AK47 is not real fun, but the AK74 is! Rifles are about the same as a 47 $ wise, but ammo is still dirt cheap. $140.00 per 1080 rounds.
Thanks for video. That was a real good informational piece. I got to look into pricing im hearing the ar is about double the cost of a n ak. I like the american light weightless. I really got to see what my pocket book looks like. Thanks again, Mike
Where are you getting 1080 rounds for 140 bucks?!!
For my money, the AK47.
It's all personal, but I get a much better buzz firing the AK.
The AR is just kind of eennhhh!
My preference is more for the AK 47, because ammunition is cheap, I prefer bigger caliber rifles, and for my intended purpose, which is just plinking at 100-200 yards you can't beat it.
I like them both, can't imagine not having both. Good chance you eventually will too.
Thats about what I paid for mine on gunbroker, I paid 148. Aimsurplus.com has it for 140.
I like that way of thinking i think im going with casar ak.
George of Jungle just here to help...
I love shooting both AR and AK but if you want to get the most bang for your $$$ then I would say AK. Simply because ammo cost and availability of surplus ammo availability for the AK.
