AK triggers

The only AK that I have had any trigger time with is a PSA built AK. The trigger on it reminds me of the BB gun I had as a kid. A long light pull with a barely detectable wall before the break.

Is this the norm for AK triggers or are some of the crisp? The trigger is pretty smooth and feels like a gunsmithed revolver trigger to me. Not really bad but it is different than any other rifle I have ever fired.

There are a lot of after market triggers that make the AK a bunch of fun to shoot. Just do a search for AK replacement triggers.

aftermarket triggers for AKs are expensive , the old tapco triggers if you can find is a great trigger , i have a poly hunter that has the exact trigger pull you describe , i hate that rifle

OHHHH, NOOOO...... I feel the "need" for an AK. We all know what that feels like, right?? :ROFLMAO:

So, if one (me) wants an AK, who makes one worth carrying home without going down the "fancy, mine's the best AK made" route?? I don't know squat about them other than they worked in an old proxy war we were in and they worked quite well in hell and high water.

I'll just "make room" for another one......

US Made AKs have made tremendous strides , i would take one over a WASR any day , PSA makes some neat AKs patterened after older AKS style rifles like the old poly bayo folders , ive heard good things , its no chicom , but its not $2500 either ,lol

I'm in Columbia fairly often so may check them out "live and in person". Thanks for the input. The way ATFE is going, I may need another one.
