Let's see those AK/SKS rifles.
This is a thread we've needed!!
My Romanian. Great shooting rifle! Thinking about going the Tapco route with it, maybe even adding a scope of some sort...who knows.
Nice Romy. I like.
My Yugo SKS and Wasr-10 with a couple of friends and a better pic of the Wasr
Here is my Russian SKS that my wife bought me about 14 years ago to go with a Chinese SKS. I sporterized the Chinese and gave it to my brother. Also this is my Romanian SAR-1, LOL, again my wife bought it for me. You know I really have a great wife.
Nice pics all. There's some really nice lookin AK/SKS rifles here.
This is technically an AK... just bigger...
Romanian 5.45x39.. shoots great w/ a 3# Tapco trigger.
Oh sure........throw in a Dragunov to make us all drool.......
Nice rifles. Is that Romy a WASR 3 or WASR 2 (not too familiar with the 5.45 versions of them)?
Usually when I see a 5.45 AK it's a bulgarian/arsenal ak-74, Saiga. or a newer variant (ak-103 etc...).
Also does that WASR accept double stacks?
My little guy scoping the Christmas tree earlier today.
Mine does (WASR-10)
It was originally a single stack but when it was imported it was machined to take doublestack mags.
Yugo SKS. Made in 1969. All matching parts.
I refinished the wood recently. Also did some work on the trigger to get rid of the trigger slap it originally had.
@5000rds of wolf, zero stoppages---Except the time my neighbor didnt insert magazine all the way, still shot first 15rds before it failed to strip a round from the mag. Dont think that counts
Romy SAR-1, SAR-3, SAR-2....with assorted other toys, before launching the boat that sad day
Thats some hardware....no wonder the boat sunk!!
slowryde45, is that a Maadi I see hiding in that pile of hardware?
Wasr 2. I was at an AK shoot last summer. It was down to me and a guy w/ a Sar 3. We were shooting the same out to 160 meters. I bought this one for $269.00 shipped a few years ago. Mags were $5.00 back then. I've got 8- 30rnd mags and 2- 5 round for hunting. Ammo use to be dirt cheap at $105.00 for a 1080 can. I paid $150.00 for the last can and have 5 now. Gotta have ammo!!
t'was a sad day indeed
Not sure what you are seeing and where...3 of them for sure were SAR's. Except of course for the other toys.
Bulgarian, Russian, Romy, and E. German and some friends
