How many of you are air gunners or back yard plinkers? What do you use? Well to start I own: Crosman Nitro Venom Dusk .177, Crosman M4 177, and Cybergun Sig Saur P226. Just saying Crosman M4 is probably one of my favorite Rifles I've shot!

I do enjoy using some Daisy break-action .177 to keep the treerats at bay. Got it from a buddy; thing has a 3-9x40 scope on it for my aging eyes. In the spring, when there are small treerats running wild, i use the flat-tip practice pellets to harass the rats without actually causing much damage, very motivational.

Got into the airgun thing a while back as well.

    I have a Stoeger X20 and Crosman 1377, both in .177.

I've been looking at the Crosman Nitro Venom in .22 lately, might have to go ahead and pull the trigger on that one.....so to speak.:D

I shoot a .177 crossmen XT storm, I put a cheap wal mart scope on it works pretty good out to about 30 yards. I shoot everything from from birds to rabbits. I've had it for a while and I redid the stock took off the iron sights and painted it. Almost picked up one of the bone collectors pellet rifles but I didn't like how much of it was plastic.

Honestly one of my favorite rifle to shoot was a red rider bb gun I know it sounds crazy but it's just always fun from teaching cub scouts to just plinking in the back yard with my brother in law just shootin empty beer cans just goes right up there plinking with 22's.

I had a G&G mp5 clone that was fun. I used a SIG 2022 from Kwc that was fun too. That cyber gun p226 is very nice. They make a P229 clone as well but...I don't know, $140 for an Airsoft gun? After all the real steel I've purchased since plinking with those air guns I find it hard to rationalize the purchase.

Old school- Sheridan Blue Streak- 5mm (yeah, .20 caliber). Will drop a squirrel like a bad habit at 40 yards. At 10 yards can put one pellet after another into the same hole.

The .22 is nice my friend got that one but he likes mine better because of the wide variety of pellets, but then he got some of the destroyers and we hunt all day :D

Beman RS2. It has 2 barrels for 177 and 22. I prefer the 22. 2-7x40 AO scope. I mostly shoot in the garage at 10 to 15 yards.

I had a Daisy 880 when I was 16-17 that I'd shoot black birds and sparrows with then didn't have another one for quite a few years. Got a Beeman C1 carbine in the late '80's, it was pretty nice, got out of it and just recently got back into a pellet rifle with the order of a Ruger Air Magnum in 22cal tonight. Should have it by next Monday so I can post a little review.
Frustration mostly drove me to order it. I've been looking for a good 22lr like a Ruger 10/22 for a week or so but they're rare as hen's teeth and when you do find one the guys want three prices for em'. My budget was $200 and I was able to get a new Ruger combo w/scope and 500, 14.3gr dome pellets for $202.00 shipped. Ammo is really inexpensive for air rifles which is a real selling point and I think out to 40 yards or so any small game that I hit wouldn't know the difference between the Ruger air rifle or an actual 22lr.

Did you order from pyrmidair? Thats where I get most of my ammo when I fully replenish and where I bought my breakbarrels, never seen better prices!

I ended up ordering from Airgun Warehouse Inc. Pyrmidair's Shopping Cart wouldn't accept my order, guess it's because I have an older browser or some such so I went to Airgun Warehouse Inc and found the gun for the same price. Only difference was that they charge shipping if the order is under $250 where PA would have been free shipping for orders over $100. When time comes to order more pellets I'll probably go with PA since you can get 1 tin free if you order 3, unless AWI has the same deal.

Gamo Big Cat 1200 with Simmons 4X32 and "Charlie Da Tuna" trigger.
Update: After being zeroed in, the Simmons scope became inaccurate after about 40 pellets shot. A friend said an air rifle will destroy a rifle scope because of the vibration of the discharged air. Any ideas on this?

Well, finally got through and canceled my order for the Ruger Air Magnum. The review I watched said it wasn't all that good of a gun, go figure.
Ended up ordering a Benjamin Trial NP Nitro Piston from Pyramyd Air instead. The reviews were actually pretty decent on it.

Although none of the guns I'v reviewed lived up to their velocity claims this one came the closest and the accuracy, wow, pretty good at 50 yards IMHO.
Oh well, just be glad when it gets here on Monday, hope we get some warm, dry weather so I can get out in the back yard and do some shooting. Also need to break out the Chrony and check the Vel. for myself too.
