I'm looking into an optics setup that I've only seen and looked through once. So, I'm looking for some help/advise from those of you who may have more experience with this.

For my new IWI Tavor (bullpup), I want the close range accuracy and fast acquisition of a red dot, combined with the ability to reach out to 200 yds. with the aid of the tripler

As of now I'm looking at... An Aimpoint PRO in front of a Burris tripler in a pivot mount

Will the center of the red dot and tripler be at the same height?

I've seen this combo before, and it works. Using the Burris pivot ring you will be able to line up any 30mm tube magnifier with an Aimpoint (with the exception of the micro units). If you want to stay with a fixed 3x this will be fine, but if you want a variable power take a look at the Lucid 2-5x magnifier.

I agree , Lucid makes fine products and this will help get you out there better with the 5X and not be limited to a fixed 3X

Have you considered a 1-4x scope with a red dot reticle? Leupold and Bushnell make them and probably several others mfgs.

Thanks for the info guys. I received my Aimpoint red that and my burris multiplier with the Burris flip mount. They line up perfectly and are exactly the setup I was looking for.
