I'm looking for a stock for my first build. I want something that is an upgrade over your standard 6 position stock. I have seen some Magpuls that look pretty cool. What kind of stock would you guys recommend. Just looking for some different styles

Magnum str is my choice. I love the cheek weld on it.

B5 stocks are awesome. Either the regular or the sopmod is good.

My Sig 716 came with a really nice one (Sig's own) that has cheek welds on both sides.

B5 SopMod or Magpul STR are my preferences.

Magpul's CTR is also a good stock if you want to keep it trim, and their ACS can add weight to balance a rifle out.

Magpul MOE is a really good and light stock for the money. But I like having the lockout option to negate any rattle and play. MOE lacks that feature. The CTR is basically an MOE + lockout.

I buy most of my Magpul stocks in PSA LBKs...that allows my money to go further.

    39,

Also the Rock River Operator is a good 6 Position Collapsible Stock.

I've built with all Magpul and Vltor stocks , but if you want something different check out the MFT Minimalist. I'm going to try this one next. ImageUploadedByFirearms Talk1393472990.401274.jpg

I have a Magpul moe thats going on a ar soon. It barely wobbles and looks nice. I trust magpuls quality too, they make a great forend for a 12 gauge.

I like the STR. Wound up going with a RRA lower because Spikes had a 9-12 month turn around to my LGS. I could have ordered one online but by the time I paid FFL it would have been around the same price as RRA anyway. One day I will have a Spikes though. I think they are the best LOOKING lower around besides Seekins or maybe Noveske
