I currently have a gas Ducane BBQ that is about 12 years old. I use it quite a bit and cook a little bit of everythng. I enjoy cooking the entire meal on the grill. Meat, potatoes, veggies, even dessert.

The ole Ducane is starting to have problems. Could fix for a few bucks but thinking I might get something a bit newer and move up in the world.

Recently looked at a pellet BBQ. New to me. Think it was called a Treager.

    Soooo, any one have one?
    How do you like it?
    Other brands?

Any suggestions, recommendations, or other help greatly appreciated.

cheapy from wally world, costs about $10...........only takes about 20-30 briquettes of charcoal to cook two full-sized T-bones (at the same time, cuz it won't hold anymore); about 2-3 minutes on each side, and mmmwaaahhhh, perfect! it lasts about 2 years if you clean out the bottom after each grillin session.

5-6 minutes a side if you like medium rare/medium
6-8 minutes a side if you like medium/medium well
10 and longer a side if you like well done.

Char Broil has a nice barrel style grill that accommodates both gas and coal. I am a strictly coal burner, but out here in silicon valley they get a little snippy about coal grilling on the hottest days in the summer (some nonsense about air quality, they can kiss my @$$, but they started ticketing people so I'll be changing my tune this summer I think). Its real purty. :D

I throw mine on just long enough to get a little warm on the outside. :p

WELL, maybe 1-2 minutes a side for me, but i like a little bit of grill marks on mine, and the "make ya wanna slap ya momma" smell waftin offn' the top. other than that, it's about 1/16-inch browned in, and the rest is as bloody and red as the day it was cut. MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!:D
