The biggest difference is the Anaconda is chambered in .44 magnum and the Python is chambered in .357 magnum.

Anacondas are stainless only. Blued was an option only if the gun was special ordered from the custom shop.

You will also notice a difference in prices of the diamond back and pythons to the others. Diamond backs and pythons bringing the highest dollar. Extremely well made revolvers with beautiful finishes and super smooth slick trigger machanisms.
The prices of them have been climbing very very fast with a huge jump since last year.If you want one I would suggest buying one now because they show no sighns of leveling off. Since colt stopped making them they have soared and many people are buying and holding onto them.
Back when they were made they were smith and wessons main competitor and the prices were close on simular models between the two campanies.
They are like money in the bank with soaring interest and great investments.Besides being like some oine said works of art and fine made made revolvers.
i remember when you could buy a python new for 500 bucks. Last year I seen them for as low as 1200 bucks and thought thats out raguous. Now this year try to find one for less than 2000. I dont even want to think what they will be going for next year.

not in walmart in many years but you can find used ones for LOTS of $$$$ in gunshops now and then.

if your only gonna have ONE revolver make it a python. they really are as good as the hype.

This was way back in 1985, before the liberals got ahold of Wallyworld and they stopped selling handguns.

Many Wal-marts don't sell guns at all anymore. Sign of the times. I'm so old I remember when Sears and JC Penneys sold a good assortment of guns!
