I have a Riley ak74 and recently installed a wooden handguard on it, yet it doesn't have lamination on it. Is it a bad idea to shoot it? Would it catch fire? Just want play things safe since aks heat up faster than ar-15s.
I am aware that Riley is an either love it or hate kind of gun. I merely was asking about the handguard more than anything.Lamination is a coating.
For normal usage at a range, it should work okay.
When the barrel gets hot from shooting in a full auto mode, then I would worrry.
