Finally got to get some time at the range.
The Players: S&W M&P45, RIA Compact 1911 .45 and "The Worlds Greatest Sigma"™.
For the M&P and the RIA it was the first time shooting right from the box. I will say that the trigger on the M&P was easier and slightly better than the other S&W. Definitely different.

The RIA perfomed as I had expected. Very nice for a 3.5 inch barrel 1911.

The first photo is the Players.
The next is the first five shots taken with both the M&P and the RIA from 21 feet. I am sure with time and getting use to the lighter trigger on the M&P45 they will get better. It was just a day to shoot and have fun.
The final is a three shot group from "The Worlds Greatest Sigma"™ at 5 yards.

I had a very fun time at the range and will have to concede the trigger on the M&P feels better.

It was fun to just get out and shoot, it had been awhile. Plus I used up all my federal .45 ammo.

I'm glad you got the time to enjoy yourself. Smoke & noise seems to have a calming effect.

Not that you need calming or anything. ;)

Are you sure those targets are yours? Is RSG really out of town?

The one on the left is a S&W M&P, the middle is a 1911, and the left is The Worlds Greatest Sigma.

Nice shooting, very impressed with your skills using "the worlds greatest sigma".

Not to hi-jack your thread but I just shot the M&P45 for the first time myself yesterday, and it's a GREAT shooting gun! has a good feel to the grip, and the trigger was very nice I thought. I'm torn though between picking up the M&P or the XD(m) because i like the XD (non-m) trigger and grip safety a lot, and the trigger feel of the XD is great but the grip was a little narrow feeling, the (m) version has the interchangable grip like the M&P so I'm curious to see how it feels in my hand but don't know anywhere around me that has the (m) to rent and try out.

    Fixed.

You may have not noticed, I trademarked Preposterous™. Preposterous™ ain't it.

"The Worlds Greatest Sigma"™ is trademarked. So I fixed it for you. It is all a bit Preposterous™.
