well, i suppose i should lay it down. im 2111, a "small arms technician" in the united states marine corps. doesnt mean i'm a gunsmith though, with no machining training realy what im qualified to do is diagnose a problem with a firearm and either do a minor repair like filing a part a little, applying some solid film lubricant or simply replacing the part.....

making my own firearms is essentially what im after, so im here to discuss and learn. learn some of the reasons why firearms are the way they are and learn where to start in my search for additional knowledge.
