    That's why Gun Zombies never, ever compare gun ownership rates to homicide or violent crime rates.

    They always compare gun ownership rates to gun death rates and righteously point out that if guns are confiscated and/or strictly controlled, gun death rates tend to be lower.

    I do not believe that a dead victim, or their family, is much consoled by the fact that he/she was stabbed to death or bludgeoned to death. If that is a "benefit" of gun control laws, it is perverted. Dead is dead. People who are shot dead are not deader than those who were stabbed to death.
