a-2 ar15 butt stock

    does any one know if you can put a collapsible stock on a a-2 ar lower
    any info would help thank you. upper is bumaster 1-9 standard upper

    bud light lime and mike's hmm.. lol anyway. you can but its its not advisable due to the AR's gas system.. being the full size rifle gas system its best not to mix carbine style parts. if it was a mid lenght or carbine i'd say sure.

    yes you can but you will need a carbine tube, end plate, castle nut, carbine buffer, carbine recoil spring.

    you can do it just fine you just cant mix rifle length buffer and spring with a carbine tube and a carbine buffer and spring in a rifle tube.

    i run my A2 upper on my carbine lower frequently. the difference is the recoil parts are scaled down to fit the shorter tube. the recoil forces are pretty much the same.

    you may need to get a heavier or lighter buffer depending on how your barrel is ported. if the cases are getting dented by the shell deflector you need a heavier buffer if they are getting flung to the extreme 1-2 oclock direction you need a lighter buffer. properly weighted buffer should result in a 230-3 oclock ejection pattern.

    i would start with an H carbine buffer
