Narrowed the list down, need more pruning but I think my next 9mm will be one of these. How is this wish list for a 9mm pistol?
    - CZ 75B SP-01 (or any 75B)
    - Sig P226, P228, P229, P239
    - Beretta 92FS (any of the 92 series really)
    - Browning Hi-Power

    What's yours?

I have really enjoyed the pre-owned CZ75b i picked up. It is as accurate as me and very comfortable in my hand. The weight of the pistol might be a challenge for lil people carry, but it seems to help keep it on target between shots.

Top of my list is the Springfield EMP.

My choice is the cZ 75. The BHP is very desireable, but the cost is high.

Exactly. For me, it will probably be decided by which good deal I will stumble on first.

I'd rate the Sig, CZ, and BHP on pretty equal footing when it comes to high end 9mms. I have all three and they're actually my three favorite pistols, although my P226 is a 357sig. The CZ is the best value and my personal favorite. Maybe I'm a little biased, as it was my "starter" centerfire.

Beretta 92 is a very good gun, but half a step down from the others. I just feel the 92 series guns are bulkier than necessary. If you have bigger hands it may have the best fit though.

On your list I'd get the BHP first.

You should move the Browning HP to the top. It is a classic. John Browning went to his grave thinking it would become more popular than the 1911. A great target pistol. I did just purchase the Springfield XD. I will let you know how it shoots.

As mentioned, I would love to have the BHP but it is very expensive. I already own an XDm (in .40) and love it. Also just recently bought a used S&W 5906 (9mm) which I think I'm liking more than the XDm. This actually started the search for another metal 9mm...thus this list. :D

Funny thing is, on one of our range visits, the sales clerk told me and my wife that he cannot understand the concept of "having too much guns". After holding the S&W 5906, my wife told me that she think she can understand the sales clerk now. LOL

CZ75, if it fits your hand. But get a couple of spare slide stops.

Why? Do they wear out or break?

    Thanks!

You're missing the Sig P225. It's an older model, no longer in production, essentially a single-stack version of the 229. The German Police called it the P6, and sometimes trade-ins make it across the ocean for cheap.

They are prone to breakage at unexpected times. But great pistols. As long as your hand is large enough for your finger to reach the trigger correctly.

I've owned all of them on your list at one time or another (the BHP was an FEG clone though). The one I still have is a German Sig P228. The P6/225 has been mentioned and they are great guns but mags (and other parts) can be hard to find as they are out of production...

Check CDNN. I just received 3 Mec-Gar Italy mags (for 19.99 each) and they are great!
