    well.....................

We can always diss-CUSS "The Great Whore of Arkansas."
And the presidential candidates like "Petey the Perve," "Pocahontas," or "Crazy Uncle Joe the Pedo," and "Bernie the Red" and "Corey the Commie."

Then of course, there's "Mikey the Malicious," and "Tommy the Trotskyite."

Heck, one of them just might be out "Fuerer" next year.

Hypothetical means crap to me. State your preference once and let it go. Let others to decide as they wish.

Well OldOutlaw, you do not have to participate in this debate if you don't like it. Others can and will choose for them selves, but when someone asks for opinions, its natural to use hypothetical situations, along with personal experience when giving an opinion.

Best stick with opinion. Not hypothetical as some will look at this subject seriously.

If someone takes it serious then I hope they did their homework:) Even though I think the larger more powerful calibers are a better choice, I also showed a big bear that was taken down with a 9mm

edit: shooting a bear with a 9mm could be hypothetical

Kind of odd considering the thread timing , but today after a bit of swapping on a SW40VE and ammo I am now the owner of a Ruger American 45 acp.

So I hope 45 doesn't bounce off the BG lol

My 'Ol man used to get a real kick watching the old Superman TV shows. George Reeves would stand there with his hands on his hips and 6 .38 Special bullets would bounce off his chest. Then the bad guy would throw the Colt revolver at Superman and he would duck.
    Go figure?

Logistics is why we won 2 wars.

We had .45s in Korea and Vietnam too

Both are great rounds, I believe it comes down to how good of a shooter you are...

Lieutenants study strategy. Generals study logistics.

When my wife and I decided to consolidate to one caliber .45ACP wasn't an option because there's a city ordinance prohibiting security from carrying .45s. So the choice was between 9mm and .40S&W and my wife can't shoot .40 because she has arthritis.

So we chose 9mm by default

BOTTOM LINE!!! Use which ever one you shoot well and have confidence in as in today's world the 9, 40, and 45 are ALL equal, if you use good MODERN SD ammo, in their ability to 'stop the fight'!!!;):D

If you say so!!!:p But when I was 'in harms way' the 5.56 and the 7.62 put A LOT holes in the 'enemy' than any hand gun, regardless of caliber. ;)
