I've shot my buddys 9mm highpoint a bunch and that's pretty fun, its a little on the heavy side but there's not much felt recoil. There pretty cheap too and from what I hear highppoint has some of the greatest customer service around.

I'm gonna agree. My buddy has a high point carbine and its awesome. Always goes boom. If something does decide to break or not function all you gotta do is call and they'll fix it no questions asked.

I had a Kel Tec. It was pretty ugly, but it is super light, reasonably accurate and it fed any brass cased ammo I put in it, even some under powered handloads that wouldn't cycle in my pistols. The one I had uses the same mags as my Glock pistol.

Sights are rough, the trigger is spongy, but it was really a fun gun and very portable, for taking camping.

I have a Sterling. It's 100 percent and very ergo.

The Beretta and Ruger are also excellent.

Personally, I would avoid Hi-Point, Kel-Tek and the old Marlin "camp carbine." Just my $.02

I'll throw in another vote for the Hi-Point.

It has never failed to fire.

FWIW, the people I know with Hi Points seem happy with them.

I have a Beretta CX4 in .45. It's excellent. If the 9mm version is even close, it's worth a look.

I've owned a Hi-Point carbine in 9mm for about 13 years. Thousands of rounds and never one issue, I replaced the stock about 3 years ago with some aftermarket piece, ATI maybe, don't remember. I paid about 250 for it bought a few extra mags and it's been a pleasure for years.

I put a tasco red-dot on it and I'm still using the same battery. It's a great Combo.

Buy one and never look back! American made and reliable as can be.

I've got two Hi Points a 9mm and a .40cal, never had a problem with either one the .40 I purchased from a friend it has the original iron sites and is dead on at 50 yards and purchased the 9mm new, I put a red dot on it and it holds a 2" group at 50 yards. Their fun to shoot and I keep them ready for home defense, but then again everything I own is ready for home defense.

Try finding a Kel Tec Sub, you can use glock mags so you can go up to a 33rd'er. The Hi Points only have 10 rd mags.

I love my hi-point carbine it is awesome. The only negative about it is after a box or two of ammo it starts to sting my cheek.

CDNN seldom has anything but ammo in stock. They claim to have 99% of the items in stock. I have tried to order on the first day the catalog was released, no luck
