Does anyone know of a good safe charge for 8mm Lebel revolver cartridges?
What bullet? WHat powder you planning on using?
.330 100gr bullets
Nonte in "The Home Guide To Cartridge Conversions" shows 3.5 grains of Unique with a 100 grain, .325" lead bullet.
Some research I did on the web(I don't recall the web site) gave a load of 4.0 grains of Unique with a 100 grain, .330" Graf's FMJ bullet.
The same web page listed 2.8 to 3.2 grains of Bullseye with the 100 grain .330" Graf's FMJ bullet.
Using a Lyman #32359 .325" 121 grain lead bullet, they also listed 2.3 to 2.5 grains of Bullseye.
I have not used this web data and cannot verify its validity. I personally load slightly less than Nonte's data.
I tried the 2.8 bullseye with the .330 bullets but low velocity and range.I think I will work up to 3.5 bullseye and see what that does.
